I love the glorious technicolour of this piece!

So happy and good-enough-to-eat. Like those artificially-coloured rock candy that my dad refused to let me have when I was a child.

Still loving the Clump setting - I think crazy-colour or printed fabric works best with a simple setting such as this.

Again, like most of The Empress Dowager's New Jewels, it can be worn close to the neck or...

...let free to swing at a longer length.


I thought the colours of this stripey soft furnishings fabric from Ikea would make people dizzy if the necklace was worn with the ruched side showing but I was pleasantly surprised...

...It's quite pleasing, actually.
