It's been more than a month since my last post.
No, I've not given up on The Empress Dowager's New Jewels. No! No! No!
In fact, I've been frantically sewing more of them since because you'll be seeing quite a bit of us at the markets soon.
News about the markets, new projects and new pieces will be up shortly. In the meantime, have a good perv at these "Urban Jewellery" by Belgian designer Lisbeth Busshe.
I fell in love with her sculptures the moment I saw these images because in many ways, this is what The Empress Dowager's New Jewels is about - larger-than-life, exaggerated and abstract forms, drama-mama, overstated and super-amplified. Not for shrinking violets.
