Cascading Garnet Dew

#26. For Miss Nah-nah over at As Morning Breaks.

We decided to do a swap some time ago, a necklace from me ("not too chunky because I'm tiny" was her brief) for two drawings (a cute pair of little boy and girl) from her.

Now that she has received Cascading Garnet Dew in the mail, I can finally show it here because she wanted it to be a surprise and didn't want to know anything about what she was getting.

I'm happy that she loves it and hopefully, we'll see some photos of her wearing her new "jewels" soon.

Edit-to-add: I've received Nah-nah's oh-so-cute drawing! You can view them here.

Now Selling On Leeloo!

#17 - A Cluster Of Jade Greenery, #18 - A Burst Of Fire Opal...

#20- Dainty Bullets Of Peridot & Yellow Tourmaline, #23 - Dewdrops Of Fuzzy Sapphire...

These are the pieces that didn't sell at the Leeloo stall at the recent Finders Keepers. They are now up for sale on the Leeloo site - here, here, here and here!

"Leeloo is a place where treasures from emerging Australian designers and artists can become yours!

Nurturing young designers and presenting their incredible wares to the world, Leeloo stocks exclusive and one-off items which won’t be found anywhere else. The stock is produced within Australia and in most cases is lovingly and thoughtfully hand-made. How special is that?"

Angela, the boss lady over at Leeloo, has been a keen supporter of my silly ideas for a while now. Way before I started making The Empress Dowager's New Jewels. I'm eternally grateful to her for always seeing beauty in my work.

I'd love for you to show her the same love that she's showered upon me - go have a nosey-around on Leeloo. There are loads of pretty things, besides The Empress Dowager's New Jewels (hee!), to see. And to take home, if you like. Go now! x

A Milky Way Of Rock(Candy)

#25.

Another commissioned piece for Pamela, my first ever paying customer.

This is her third piece of The Empress Dowager's New Jewels!

She basically said, "Do whatever you want. I trust you. Just as long as it is different from the first two "bib" pieces."

I've been nursing the thought of making a piece that can double up as a scarf as well so the prototype is now Pam's Milky Way Of Rock(Candy).

It took me ages to complete but it's done and has gone to its new mistress.

It was hard to let it go but hey, I can always make another for myself. And for those of you who might be keen to have one of this versatile piece. In a different fabric, of course. Because no two pieces of The Empress Dowager's New Jewels can ever look the same, remember?

Thank you, Pam! For letting me do my thing again! I hope you'll be back for more. xx
